2,300 sqm Facade Art Mural by Goodlack at the 'Stadtgarten Karree' Office Complex for Corvis Real Estate, Wall Artwork in the Belgian Quarter
Corvis Real Estate Management was seeking professional facade painters capable of handling the artistic concept, surface preparation, and expert facade design for the extensive 2,300 sqm project.
The client's goal was for us to create a calming work environment for the companies housed in the buildings and to design the entire courtyard facade so that the mural would be easily visible from all angles, aesthetically pleasing, natural, and non-distracting for observers.
Given that the Stadtgartenkarree is situated opposite Cologne's Stadtgarten, we opted to develop a concept that visually extends the park. We integrated natural elements like trees and animals into the facade painting. Various elements of the Stadtgarten were depicted in a graphic style in the background and a photorealistic style in the foreground. This blend of concrete realism and abstract graphic design allowed us to create a cohesive overall concept.
In addition to designing the wall surfaces facing the courtyard, a draft for the building's gable end was also created at the client's request. The specified theme was “Treat others as you would like to be treated”.
As site managers, we coordinated the erection and dismantling of the scaffolding, along with the necessary preparatory cleaning work.
To professionally prepare the facade for painting, we commissioned a cleaning company to remove dirt and algae from the surface.
Subsequently, a primer coat of fungicide-enriched silicate facade paint was applied to protect the wall surfaces from future algae growth. After a second coat to ensure the longevity of the facade paint, our team of eight wall artists then carried out the artistic painting using facade paints and spray cans. All work was completed within one month.

The Evangelical Hospital Mettmann commissioned us to create a suitable artistic concept for a 100 sqm wall within the hospital complex.
Through close collaboration and joint brainstorming sessions, a customized overall concept was developed that seamlessly integrates the hospital's corporate design. The original colors of the corporate identity were deliberately incorporated into geometric shapes that reflect the architecture of the hospital buildings. This ensures the graffiti mural harmoniously blends into its surroundings and emphasizes the identity of the location.
Realistic depictions of a doctor, a nurse, and an ambulance break through the abstract graphic elements. They lend a human touch to the artwork while simultaneously conveying competence, care, and warmth – core values of the hospital.
Aesthetically, the graffiti mural combines classic facade painting with modern graffiti elements, creating a unique and contemporary look.
We are proud of the hospital's innovative vision and are delighted to have realized the first large graffiti mural on a hospital building in Germany. This project sets new standards for the artistic design of public institutions.

The international organization Fairtrade Germany commissioned us to create a large-scale Street Art promotional mural as part of a nationwide outdoor advertising campaign.
For this special project, as Cologne-based Street Art artists, we handled not only the creative design but also the organization of the wall space, including lease management – providing a complete service.
In close collaboration with Fairtrade, we developed an urban Street Art interpretation of the campaign motif to give the message more depth, authenticity, and character. This fusion of professional advertising design and artistic expression resulted in a piece that unites modern Street Art aesthetics with the clear visual language of the campaign.
Additionally, we installed lighting so that the mural could be fully appreciated at night and street art remains vibrant in public spaces.
The 120-square-meter mural is located in the heart of Cologne-Ehrenfeld, one of Germany's most creative hotspots for Street Art, and has drawn considerable attention since its completion.

The renowned real estate agency "Ott Immobilien AG" commissioned us to create an innovative artistic concept for a facade painting featuring the Cologne Cathedral.
For the city's famous landmark, we at Goodlack aimed to find a new form of representation and decided on the idea of the cathedral reflected in a puddle of water. The result is an impressive facade design that highlights the beauty of the Cologne Cathedral in an unexpected way.
The mural is located on Hohenzollernring, one of the city's busiest streets. It is the largest painted depiction of the Cologne Cathedral in Germany and a true eye-catcher for everyone who passes by.
We thank Ott Immobilien AG for their collaboration and invite you to view this facade painting for yourself. You can also learn more about Ott Immobilien AG by clicking on the following link:

R&R Property Management commissioned us to design a subtle yet modern large-scale facade painting for their 15-story high-rise building.
Since the building owners constituted a homeowners' association, the primary challenge was to first find a consensus among the diverse ideas and preferences of the various parties.
After countless proposals and designs, our final concept, 'Cologne Upside Down,' successfully convinced all the owners.
The design features a highly detailed rendition of the Cologne skyline, extending vertically along both southern edges of the building.
The facade painting was conveniently executed with the aid of a gondola lift.

As the building is a listed high-rise complex with a strict color code to adhere to, Goodlack, in collaboration with the non-profit housing association Opladen (GBO), the architectural firm Vicus, and the Leverkusen monument protection authority, developed the idea and guiding concept for the large-format wall artwork.
Four historical buildings of the Opladen housing association are now visible on the 24-meter-high building facade. The facade artwork is deliberately painted in a light, illustrative style and blends harmoniously into the residential environment.
We thank the Non-Profit Housing Association Opladen for their cooperation and invite you to view this facade painting for yourself.

Together with our client, Rheinisch–Bergische Siedlungsgesellschaft mbH, we developed the basic idea and concept for the mural. The goal was to artistically represent the child-friendly living environment of RBS residential properties.
The mural is 15 m high and 9 m wide and was painted with high-quality facade paint and spray paint. The graffiti image shows happy children playing in a colorful environment.
The RBS Siedlungsgesellschaft and the residents are delighted with the finished mural. It contributes to a positive atmosphere in the residential area and highlights the child-friendly nature of the housing properties.

The Ehrenfeld Community Foundation issued a public tender seeking graffiti artists to redesign a large playground in Cologne Ehrenfeld with a child-friendly overall concept, thereby enhancing its long-term value.
The request included a large-format mural on the house gable directly facing the playground area, as well as the complete painting of the playground building. The artistic project was also to integrate a graffiti workshop with children and mosaic art from the nearby pottery workshop into the overall work.
Our artistically holistic concept convinced the Community Foundation, and we were awarded the commission.
First, we completed the graffiti project on the fire-rated facade of the residential building.
Afterward, we developed a fairytale-like concept for the playground building with children from the neighborhood. The children then sprayed this design onto the walls of the playground building under our guidance as part of a graffiti workshop. In the final step, the children's graffiti artwork was further elaborated, refined, and completed with glued mosaics.
The final result is a holistic, colorful, and vibrantly painted fairytale landscape that gives the playground a strong local appeal.

The housing cooperative had to carry out various renovations on the residential block, such as the installation of new balcony railings. Furthermore, the entire facade of the building was in a dilapidated state and covered with a lot of wild graffiti. Our client wanted the renovation work and the artistic facade painting of the entire residential building to be carried out hand in hand.
An extraordinary idea was desired, one that would establish a local connection to the neighborhood and transform the residential building into an artistic unique piece. The house is located in the so-called "Chinesen-Viertel" (Chinese Quarter) in Cologne Ehrenfeld. The German gunboat "Iltis", which was deployed against the uprising in China in 1900, gave its name to Iltisstrasse, where the residential building is located.
With the history of the gunboat Iltis in mind, and since the architecture of the residential block resembled a ship, we came up with the idea of transforming the house into a Rhine steamboat through illusion painting.
In coordination with the balcony railing installer, the new balcony railings and our facade painting were color-matched to achieve a holistic overall work. To ensure maximum weather resistance and long-lasting durability of the paintwork, we carried out the artistic painting with high-quality mineral facade paint from Keim.
From its ceremonial inauguration in the form of a ship christening with a smashed champagne bottle in 2008 until today, the "MS Ehrenfeld" has gained increasing regional recognition.

A total of four underground garage entrances, a 230 sqm facade located in the inner courtyard, and various basement access points were designed. The goal was to visually connect the entire residential area through graffiti art.
The Gartenhöfe settlement offers its residents large inner courtyards with abundant nature, meadows, vegetable gardens, and safe playgrounds. For this reason, we appropriately chose nature, animals, and family-friendly living as the main theme for the conceptual environmental design.
The painted graffiti murals are harmoniously coordinated and spread throughout the entire new residential area. They create an atmosphere of closeness to nature, quality of life, and community, thereby fostering identity for all residents.
The underground garage entrances feature various local animals and plants as motifs. The large facade, located next to a playground area with a garden, depicts cheerful children running through a grain field towards the sunrise.
The residents and our client are very enthusiastic about the finished overall artwork.
